Rules

We are ready to welcome hundreds of thousands of pilgrims this year! To ensure that everyone has a holy experience, we ask all pilgrims to be respectful and obey the following:


No alcohol

Within the shrine, we foster a wholesome and spiritual atmosphere, actively discouraging both the consumption and possession of alcohol

No weapons

The serenity and safety of the shrine are upheld through the strict prohibition of any form of weapon possession on the premises

No propaganda

The premises cultivate a propaganda-free environment, placing emphasis on sustaining a positive and respectful experience for all

No distribution

For the safety of all, the distribution of food, beverages, or religious items is not allowed.

No drones

For safety and out of respect, drone flights are prohibited on the premises.

No pets

To maintain a well-organized and comfortable atmosphere, we kindly request that pets not be brought onto the Shrine grounds.

What time can I visit Our Lady of Guadalupe?

The festivities honoring Our Lady of Guadalupe commence with the Opening Mass on December 11 at 8 p.m. in the Plaza. Culminating the celebrations is the Closing Mass on December 12 at 7 p.m. in the Chapel of San José. Feel free to visit us at your convenience; the Plaza welcomes all those who wish to pay homage to Our Lady of Guadalupe. Upon your arrival, our dedicated team ensures that every pilgrim receives a warm welcome and the blessings of a priest or deacon.

Is there a cost?

There is never a cost to attend the Celebrations of Our Blessed Mother, Our Lady of Guadalupe. There is a parking fee when parking on the grounds of the Shrine. Please consult the parking section below for additional information.

Spiritual Services


Hourly masses and rosaries are celebrated throughout the celebrations to our Blessed Mother. Confessions will be accommodated on Tuesday, December 12, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Marian Chapel. This is a spiritual experience; please cooperate with all the staff and respect all Shrine rules.

Where can we park?

Due to limited parking on the Shrine grounds,
 there is a fee of $15 per vehicle for parking
on the Shrine grounds. This cost helps
manage traffic flow and contributes to the
financial support of our Shrine during the
Guadalupe Festivities. The Shrine of Our
Lady of Guadalupe has several remote 
parking areas that are free and open to the
public.

Shuttle bus services will be available and will start on December 11 at 6:00 p.m. until 3:00 a.m. on December 12. These bus services are provided to transport people to the Shrine from the remote parking areas.

Recommendations on how to get to the Shrine

We recommend that you contact your nearby parish for information about pilgrimages. Many parishes organize group trips to the Shrine. You can also coordinate a pilgrimage with friends and family. If you are planning a pilgrimage with a large group, please contact our main office to register. Visit our Blessed Mother by walking, running, biking, by bus, or by car! Our Lady of Guadalupe awaits you and welcomes you with open arms!

Where can I find additional information?

For more information, please call the Shrine's main office at (847) 294-1806. Our office is open Monday to Friday from 10 am to 5 pm and on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 am to 5 pm. The office will be closed from December 11 to December 13.

Guadalupana Grand Raffle

The main objective of this Guadalupe Raffle is to raise funds for the development and maintenance of the Shrine


The raffle will take place on Tuesday,

December 12th, 2023, after the 7:00 PM Mass.

1st Prize: $10,000

2nd Prize: $3,000

3rd Prize: Samsung 75" Smart TV

4th Prize: $1,000

5th Prize: $500


This raffle supports the development of Café Tonantzin for the Shrine.
