Rite of Christian Initiation Class

2020

Is a process of formation and accompaniment that prepares adults that need to achieve their sacraments of Christian initiation as Baptism, Eucharist and/or Confirmation.  To those aspirants wishful to form part of the Catholic Church,  we call them catechumens.

PROCESS OF FAITH AND CONVERSION

It is a path of faith and conversion in which we seek the new birth of church members, through a series of phases and rites taking them from a desire of closeness to God to embracing faith proclaiming it throughout their lives.

ALL THE CHURCH EMBRACES THE CATECHUMENS

The participants pass through moments of reflection and meditation; during their formation, they share with sponsors, catechists, and priests. The entire community prays for them and supports them in their preparation. Candidates express their concerns and learn about the word of God, catechist, liturgy, morals, and spirituality of their relationship with God and one another.

WE CELEBRATE THE INSERTION OF NEW MEMBERS

Candidates and catechumens fulfill their sacraments at the Vigil of Easter, the mayor celebration of the church. It is the beginning of their life as children of God and members of the church, solders of Christ; the entire church rejoices and congratulates them. Now they are part of the great family of God.
