Last Saturday, June 10, the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Guadalupe celebrated its tenth anniversary as a Sanctuary!
We thank God and our Blessed Mother, Our Lady of Guadalupe, for the honor of receiving, on our 10th Anniversary as an official Shrine of the Archdiocese of Chicago, the presence and support of Mr. Cardinal Carlos Aguiar Retes, Archbishop Primate of Mexico and Cardinal Blase Cupich, Archbishop of Chicago, for having accompanied us and reiterating the union of our ministry here in Chicago with that of the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico.
We also congratulate all the children who have received their First Communion, a sign of the vitality of our Church today and forever. May your parents, godparents and pastors always guide you in the ways of the Lord so that you never abandon Christ, the Virgin, and the Church.
