The Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe would like to invite you to participate in the reception of our Equestrian Riders Pilgrimage. Over 300 horses and riders will begin a three-hour pilgrimage to the Shrine to give honor to Our Lady of Guadalupe on December 3rd. By 1:00 p.m. they will be arriving to the sound of live band music, as well as hundreds of spectators, families, food, and pictures with a pony for the children.

The tradition of the pilgrimage began over 15 years ago when a group of horse owners decided to come to the Shrine and give their homage to the Blessed Mother by highlighting their equestrian Mexican culture and love for the Western style of living. As one rider would say when asked why he is doing this: “I make my horse dance in front of the Virgin, not to please the crowd, but to please Her!”

If you have a horse and would like to participate in this Pilgrimage, please give us a call at the number on the flyer. See you soon and “Viva the Virgin of Guadalupe!”
