In April 2017, we launched a $5 million campaign for the building of the Chapel of St. Joseph at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe. We are pleased to share our monthly fundraising news and progress for September 2017:

Our Goal: $5 million
Raised (to-date): $3.5 million

Since April 2017, we have received over $170,000 in new campaign pledges in addition to the donations received through our Sunday collections.  Next month, we will share a new update on our fundraising progress, along with a list of our donors who have already completed their pledges and donations.

On Sunday, September 10, we hosted our first monthly pledge day.  Our staff and volunteers were available from 10am to 3pm to answer questions about the campaign and the building project.  Thank you to all of our supporters who took advantage of the event to make their pledge and donation!  We raised: $1,850.

Our next Pledge Day will take place on Sunday, October 8, from 10am to 3pm at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Please join us and show your support.

On Monday, September 18, our Finance and Pastoral Council Members, along with several of our dedicated volunteers, had the chance to tour the construction site of the future Chapel of St. Joseph.  Our architects, Larry Kearns and Emmanuel Garcia, were on hand to explain the building project and answer all of our guests’ questions.  Everyone enjoyed seeing the chapel taking shape and moving forward.

The tour was an opportunity for these committed members of the Shrine community to see all of their hard work, support, and dreams for the Shrine continue becoming a reality.  Everyone who joined us for the tour assured us that they are even more committed now to praying for, supporting and promoting the project.

Soon we will be offering additional tours of the building for our donors and friends.  Please stay tuned for details.
